In this piece, a man finds solace in reading the Bible within the serene confines of a church. The stained-glass window, depicting the nativity scene, bathes him in ethereal light. Despite the symbolic burning effect on certain parts of his being, the man maintains an unwavering serenity.

This composition serves as a visual narrative reflecting my perception of a man’s internal struggle. It encapsulates the emotional conflict of a feeling torn between personal beliefs and the impact it has on their own flesh and blood.

Through this work I sought to navigate my own emotions, using the creative process as a means of understanding and ultimately forgiving, transforming the canvas into an exercise in empathy and reconciliation.
